Metalinks was established in the year 1994 by a first time entrepreneur just after finishing his Industrial engineering in 1993. Suresh Cavale trained in a Solder products industry based in Pune, India for 6 months. Metalinks was started in Madras (now Chennai). Suresh met an entrepreneur who was very experienced in flux formulation. This entrepreneur transferred the flux technology to Metalinks and also taught the art of developing soldering fluxes by introducing Suresh to the tomes of books available in IIT Madras library. IIT Madras library became the part time office of Metalinks.
